Wine Tasting for the Uninitiated
Vinecology will be hosting its first Wine Tasting for the Uninitiated!
Do you ever hear the clinking of glasses and the sound of laughter and wonder what all the fuss is about? Have you ever wondered how a wine could be described as black currant jam and tabacco, with barnyard overtones? Ever wanted to participate in a wine tasting, but have been too uncomfortable with the thought of swirling, sniffing, and spitting?
Join the Vinecology Students in a no nonsense wine tasting of local wines to help students and campus affiliates learn more about wine and more about sustainable viticulture. We'll help answer your questions, and hopefully answer some of our own.
Some of the wines we will be tasting include:
Navarro Vineyards
Oster Wines
Ceago
Patianna
Jeriko
Dark Horse
from among many sustainable California winegrowers.
Please send Vinecology email to get on the sign up list, and we'll send out meeting details soon!
Date: 2/22/2008
Time: 5:30 pm
Location: 2124 Wickson Hall
This is a free event, but you must be 21 years or older to taste the wine.
